Face to Face

Studio: Mustang Studios

This is an amiable film, excellently photographed and structured in leisurely sequences rather than the usual short and often disjointed scenes of less ambitious porn.
A young Colorado man, vibrant, uncut, swim-built Scott Andersen, sets out on a quest to locate his lifelong idol, porn star J.W. King, in San Francisco - but not before having sex with his roommate David Wilcox one more time. Generous closeup footage captures their hard head-over-heels fucking and expressive facial reaction shots.

While hitchhiking, Andersen is "" to suck off a highway patrolman Clint Lockner. While Lockner commands in his deep baritone voice to "take hold of it" and "put your mouth on it," Andersen eats and chokes on his large hardon. The action is intercut with quick shots of the officers leathers and other paraphernalia, meant to convey Andersens rising fear and distaste. After a long, hearty face-fucking, Lockner blows his wad in the youths mouth.

In San Francisco, while searching for King at a gym, Andersen witnesses a blowjob in the locker room. Hes told about a nearby King film festival, to which he goes, thus missing a dynamite threeway among three hunky gym bunnies - Will Seagers, Mickey Squires and Miles Mitchell. In a scene emphasizing oral sex, the three mouth dick like pigs. Rimming ensues, followed by butt-plowing, resulting in juicy orgasms, including one in the ass.

At the movie theater, theres action happening all over the place. Andersen jacks off in his seat while he watches King on the screen performing a very erotic j/o act. Theres also a torrid duo in an alleyway between King and Keith Allen ("a whacked-out hippy", according to Manshots). Larger-than-life close-ups capture a hot rimming session doggie style, lengthy cocksucking, fucking while the bottom holds his ankles, and cumming onto faces. The pairing is intercut with footage of various patrons sucking and fucking in the back of the theater.

The film ends with Andersen going back to the gym, only to discover King in the shower - quest complete! Scottie finally makes it with his idol, getting his ass filled and taking a royal load on his tongue. The scene is an appropriate and satisfying climax, both sexually and emotionally.

King, with his enthusiastic sucking, fucking, and kissing, shows us why he was the emperor of gay sex films of the Seventies. When was the last time you saw a man devour another man hes kissing? Kings magnificent face, body, cock, and uninhibited lovemaking are memorable. Andersen, unfortunately, cannot live up to his idol. This film is a fine tribute to mature men, J.W. King in particular, and gay living and loving in the pre-AIDS era.

Butt of Course!

Studio: Bijou

Solo ass play is the subject here, and few know it better than director Richard Bulger. Seven reglar guys talk trash and play with their puckers for his camera. These brownies take fingers, dildos, balls, corn cobs - pretty much anything that will fit. Bulger is especially generous with the close-ups of objects working in and out of these hairy, hungry puckers.

First up is Matthew Baker, a hairy-chested guy with a washboard stomach who looks to be in his mid-20s. Matthew jacks off on a sheet and fingers his hole for the camera. Bulger treats the viewer to lots of zoom-ins on Matts manhole as he himself with a corn cob.

Next, "Dirty" Ed Ramirez, a Latin man with tattoos, a mustache and a hairy chest, gives an interview while swilling from a pint of . In the bathroom, Ed probes his butt with his fingers. Once his hole is stretched, he plows it with a buttplug, then a regular dildo, and then a huge dildo. Dirty Ed jacks off while fucking himself, as captured in multiple camera angles and superior close-ups.

Later Tom Gentry, a very hairy guy with fur all over his body, beats off on a ladder. Tom moves to a stool and starts feeling his crack. He works a dildo shaft up his butt and cums a major load.

Rob Steuben is up for the next, and nastiest, segment. After a brief interview, Rob starts bouncing his cock and large balls. Playing with his tits and showing off his ass for us, Rob rides a dildo. Before long, latte-colored butt slather is sliding down the toy and dripping onto the floor. Peter Cox is a butch man with a large pucker. Peter sticks both fingers and a dildo up his bunghole and rides hard.

Blue Beads - A Special Request presents two different men getting off. One puts a string of blue beads up his hole and pulls them out slowly. Extreme close-ups capture his big, flappy-lipped butt pucker squeezing shut after each bead plops out.

Last up is Alan the Kid, a tough, small-town punk. Alan answers a few questions before shoving a dildo up his crack. After a few minutes, he launches a hearty load, which he sucks off his fingers.

Good production values, interesting music, and a diverse cast make this an enjoyable watch for ass aficionados.

House Detective

Studio: P.M. Productions, GFI Films

A comedy about the mixed up reservations of two groups name L.H.A.: the Laties Horticulture Associate and the League of Homosexual Activists.

The manager of a resort hotel in the Catskill Mountains confusing two reservations for "L.H.A." Instead of the "Ladies Horticultural Association," he actually has made a reservation for the "League of Homosexual Activists." The ladies luckily never appear, but we are not spared swishy queens parading into the hotel. The hotel staff goes berserk. The suave desk clerk rouges his lips and flirts with the L.H.A. guests, the dumpy and womanly manager becomes hysterical and faints, and the bumbling house detective snoops around to identify the L.H.A.

As the gray-wigged house dick moves around the hotel, we see the activists making out in their rooms (via the keyhole), in the dining room, and at the foot of the stairs in the lobby. The house dick, played by Harvey P. Mortorforker, takes pictures and shows the manager, who goes crazy. But in the end, money talks. When the desk clerk shows the manager how much money was made, the manager then looks forward to future visits by the L.H.A.

Besides the queens, there are masculine, hairy hunks and diverse New York ethnic types including a black. The comedy and sexual roles are not played by the same men.

A Sweet Taste Of Youth

Studio: Jaguar Productions, Bijou Classics

A Sweet Taste of Youth was one of Jaguars most successful theatrical releases back in its day, and its easy to see why. Well shot and with a mostly-convincing - if somewhat slightly creepy - shaggy-haired storyline, its a polished piece of porn.Bearded dy Jeff Colt is motorcycling up to his cabin with the (really) young love of his life, the androgynous-looking Craig. The two are deeply in love, and have a serious lovemaking session in the field behind the cabin. Jeff buries his tongue (and beard) deep into Craigs virginal white ass, as he moans deliriously. Afterward, Jeff asks Craig about his past "lover" (I think theyre called "boyfriends" in Junior High, Jeff). We flashback to Craig frolicking with his ex, a curly-haired lad named Billy; they broke up because Billy was "too young" for Craig. Flash forward to now, where Billy is plowing his new boy/man Scotty. They decide to take a trip to Scottys s cabin for the day, and... you know where this is going. As it turns out Billy is Craigs ex, and Scotty is Jeffs half . This revelation, coupled with an earlier scene involving an old pervert who puts the moves on Billy and Scotty while hitchhiking, give the flick an especially dirty feeling. The print used is in surprisingly good shape, yet the lack of any bonus content on the bare-bones DVD-R release leaves a lot to be desired. But the good camerawork (for the time period; this was shot on film after all) and deep, sensual cum-soaked sex scenes make A Sweet Taste of Youth a semi-classic of the genre worth getting.

Wolfboy

Studio: By Attraction, Video 10

Unbridled primal passion explodes as five young men discover the animal and the will to survive. Lowe (looking very "Jungle Book" on the vids yummy cover shot) is running around in an L.A. canyon, clad only in a form fitting loincloth. Some"survivalists" (in L.A.??!!??) are hell-bent on finding the lost lad. Along the way, one of them has a tryst with Lowe which he recalls in flashback, all the while stroking his cock in a bathtub.A nice strip poker orgy fills the tape out (lots of deep-throating action here), but it does get bogged down with Lowes attempts at being "feral boy" (he couldnt play ferocious if he tried) and some attempts at humor and plot development truly fall flat. The flicks "on again/off again" approach to condoms and safe sex is a little disconcerting as well. But the scenes with Lowe and his gift for plowing a tight hole (and that orgy blowout) make for a fun night by the light of the silvery (full) moon.
